Thanks to the support of Hope of Life International and Longwood University, I had the opportunity to visit and volunteer in Guatemala in May of 2024. Throughout ten days, I volunteered at remote medical clinics, cared for orphans in the hospital, played bingo with residents of the assisted living facility, and hiked to deliver food to remote villages. That experience deepened my compassion for less-fortunate people, taught me patience and perseverance in the unideal conditions, widened my understanding of remote healthcare, and expanded my knowledge of global determinants of health. To say that this trip left a lasting impact is an understatement. There hasn't been a day that I haven't thought about this trip and the people there, so I must return. In June of 2025, I will be traveling to Guatemala to serve and my dad, Kevin, inspired by my stories of adventure, will be joining me! With your support, we may be able to rescue and sponsor a malnourished child, host a medical clinic in a remote village, fill and deliver bags of food, and host a shoe-drive for a chosen village. Any amount is helpful. I hope you find it within your heart to donate to our cause. Feel free to contact Jenna Branch with any further questions.
