Meet Jeff — a music teacher, a community builder, and a light in so many lives.
For over a decade, Jeff K. Coombs has dedicated himself to shaping young minds through music education, currently teaching K–5 in CMS Schools. He’s also worked extensively with students with special needs — not because he had to, but because he loves to serve. Many times, Jeff has given free lessons to kids who couldn’t afford them, expecting nothing in return but a smile.
But now, Jeff needs our help.
What Happened
On Saturday, May 24th, Jeff was involved in a devastating car accident that left him with severe injuries:
- A broken hip
- A fractured leg
- Multiple broken ribs
Jeff underwent emergency surgery and now has metal plates and bolts holding parts of his body together. He is currently hospitalized at Atrium Main and facing a long, difficult recovery.
⛑️ Life After the Crash
Jeff is bedbound for the next 3 to 6 months, unable to walk, work, or care for himself independently. The physical and emotional toll has been overwhelming — and so has the financial impact.
Why We're Asking for Help
We’re raising $30,000 to support Jeff’s recovery and help cover:
- Medical expenses
- Physical rehabilitation therapy
- Home accommodations & mobility aids
- Lost wages
- Transportation (his vehicle was totaled in the crash)
Jeff has always been someone who gives. Now, he needs the community he’s poured so much into to give back.
