Jayleen is a brave 2-year-old little warrior who was diagnosed with B-ALL leukemia. She has been undergoing chemotherapy for nearly a year and is currently in remission. While this is a blessing, her journey is not over, as she must continue chemotherapy as part of her treatment plan.
Over the past month, Jayleen has been hospitalized again after becoming sick with the rhinovirus and experiencing persistent fevers. Doctors are still working to determine the cause, and she recently underwent a scan as we anxiously wait for answers.
After a chemotherapy treatment that made her extremely unwell, Jayleen was able to come home briefly on January 6. Sadly, that same night she developed a fever — a known side effect of chemotherapy — and she has continued to battle fevers from January 10 through January 31. Because of this, she has remained in the hospital until she can fully recover.
This fundraiser is to support Jayleen’s mother, my sister, who is a single mom and has been by her daughter’s side every step of the way. Due to Jayleen’s ongoing medical needs and extended hospital stays, she is unable to work and is facing immense emotional and financial strain.
This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world and help ease the burden during this heartbreaking journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and support. ❤️
