In Loving Memory of Jay Allen Shanks

Jay Allen Shanks, 49, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025. Born on October 7, 1975, in Wichita, Jay was the cherished son of Charles Shanks (wife Cindy) and Cheryll Stopka (husband Richard).

Jay shared 24 years of marriage with his loyal and loving wife, Jennifer Shanks, whom he married on April 29, 2000. Jenny’s steadfast loyalty and dedication to their family were the foundation of their enduring partnership. Together, they raised a family that brought Jay his greatest pride and happiness.

Jay is survived by his children: daughter Casey Goforth (husband Zach) and their children, Kayleigh, Lily, and Zoey; son Wyatt Shanks; and daughter Morgan Shanks and her son, Wesley.
