Donación protegida
A journey, more than a race, to face a challenge that is bigger than you.
With great hesitation and great fear, Javi is running TSP SOLO where he will run a grueling, unrelenting 300ish miles from LA to LV.
If you know/heard Javi you know he's your biggest HYPE man. Whether on the sidelines cheering at races , on the track , on the road , voice notes or text. If you're in his orbit he wants to know your dreams and champion you to expel them to the world. If you can connect to this sentiment - this is our chance to HYPE our guy.
What does this challenge mean to Javi: the breaking of the shell that encloses my understanding of myself and my limitations. It is the potion by which the inner physician breaks me and heals me.
I have yet to walk away from the challenge without renewal and new understanding and I'm far from learning everything it has to teach me.
The Speed Project is a brutal race that allows you to live in a radical way. There is a term used often: No rules, No spectators. No spectators stands for radical participation, meaning everybody has to participate in some shape or form - that is YOU. This can't be done without your support, from the crew prepping to gear up with Javi to all that have joined in running miles or sending encouraging texts to him. It all goes a long way.
Financially, this will help Javi cover crew costs, fuel, food, RV rentals, etc.
The crew: Carl will be documenting this brave feat while Zoe , Mike & Mona will support this endeavor - driving, running, nourishing & navigating all that comes with the unknown.
By supporting Javi, you are not only making his challenge become reality, you will also be supporting Dunbar High School's very distinguished Track & Field program.
He wants to give back to our city while representing in the desert.
Javi will be giving 30% of his raising to Dunbar H.S. HOME of our weekly WINSday track sessions offered to our community.
"Dunbar has served as a sanctuary of sorts. A safe place to wrestle with my limitations and expand what is possible. I trained for my first marathon there, the first TSP in Chile, and every race since. They hosted our first run when it was just 4 of us to what it is now. Pour into the place that has poured so much into me."
Anything counts and makes a difference when it comes to something this big.
We are excited to bring you on this journey -
