Update 4/11/25
Jason had another doctor appointment today. They did an EKG on him and his heart rhythm looked good, the medication they have put him on is working. He will not be having to go to the doctor weekly. He doesn’t have another appointment now until the middle of May. They will run more tests at that time to make sure all is going as should be. He will be off work for another 3 weeks yet returning on May 5th. We want to thank all of you that have been keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you to all that have made any type of donation it has been a tremendous relief. Please share to help reach the goal.
Update 4/5/25
My name is Zac and I'm raising funds for my dad, Jason Hoffman. My dad had a blocked artery at 90%, and a stent was put in his heart on March 13. He had to take off work for a little over a week. He went back to work on March 24, and then on March 26, he had another heart episode. He went into the emergency heart hospital with his heart racing at 268 beats per minute. They had to shock him to get it to slow down and go back into rhythm. He was admitted, and his records were pulled from when he had open-heart surgery when he was born, and an MRI was done. They were able to see that there was some scar tissue where he had heart repair at birth. The doctors determined that the best option was to put in a defibrillator in case of anything ever happening again.
My father will now have to be off work for 4 to 6 weeks due to healing, and he doesn't have short-term disability to cover his pay. I'm asking for donations to help cover his loss of pay to help keep up on bills and help pay medical bills. Thank you.
We want to thank everyone that has graciously donated, it is a huge relief and is making the healing process easier and less stressful. Jason had his first doctor appointment yesterday and had his bandage removed. All is looking good for healing. The steri strips are still in place and should slowly fall off over the next few weeks. He will continue to go to weekly doctor appointments for some time. He is on the right track for recovery. He will still be off work for 3 to 5 weeks due to the type of work he does and his cerebral palsy. Nearly missing a month and 1/2 to 2 months pay all while medical bills accumulate. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
