Help Jason Farmer Fight for Justice

On August 7, 2025, three deputies parked outside Jason Farmer’s home for an hour, blaring the song Before He Cheats — lyrics aimed at his own souped-up truck — and the next day, he was jailed on a contempt order the Georgia Court of Appeals later ruled unlawful. Jason is now free, but his fight for justice is just beginning, and he needs our community’s support to stand up to a system that got it wrong.
Jason Farmer, a lifelong member of the Oconee County community, has recently endured an alarming and deeply challenging legal ordeal. On the night of August 7, 2025, three Oconee County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at Jason’s home. For approximately an hour, they remained outside, blaring Carrie Underwood’s song Before He Cheats — with the well-known lyric “I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive.” The song’s choice was unsettling, as Jason is known to drive a souped-up truck. The next day, August 8, 2025, Jason was taken into custody on a contempt order. That order was later found to be void of proper legal authority. On August 12, 2025, the Georgia Court of Appeals ordered Jason’s immediate release, ruling that the $500,000 supersedeas bond set by the trial court was not permitted under Georgia law. The Probate Court of Oconee County then vacated its prior order and released Jason without bond. While Jason is now home, the legal battle is far from over. The case that led to his incarceration remains active, and Jason must now prepare for the next phase in his fight for justice. This four-year legal saga has placed tremendous strain on his health, peace of mind, and financial stability. Jason has always been a caring, hardworking person who is quick to lend a hand to friends, neighbors, and family. Now he needs our help. Funds raised will be used for: • Covering upcoming legal expenses to continue his fight for justice • Protecting his rights and ensuring due process is followed • Supporting his recovery from the financial and emotional strain of the past months This campaign is not about debating the entire case — that will be resolved in court. It is about showing community support for someone who has endured an unjust situation and still faces a long road ahead. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help Jason in this fight. If you cannot donate, please share this page so others can stand with him. Let’s make sure Jason knows he’s not alone. Thank you for your support, – Friends of Jason Farmer
