Support Jason and Laura during Jay’s Cancer Treatment

Hi!

My name is Barrie Brown and I am Jason’s father and Laura’s father-in-law. Looking at their picture it is hard to believe what they are now dealing with. Jason has been an independent finishing carpenter and fitness fanatic for most of his life and Laura, a certified fitness instructor and ECE.

Like many others, they endured the financial ravages of Covid only to have Laura lose her job when she was forced to go on full disability with degenerative neck issues and fibromyalgia. Now Jason has just been diagnosed with a terrible bone marrow disease called MDS and is too weak to work. Other than Laura’s meagre disability pension they have no income and are quickly amassing debt, mortgage payments, taxes, utilities, etc, to say nothing of food costs.

Hopefully, we as a family, will then be able to make up the income shortfall so that they can stay in their home.
