Janice has been an educator in San Mateo County for over 25 years, touching the lives of countless students and families with her dedication and compassion. As a co-worker, I have seen firsthand the tremendous heart and energy she brings to her work every day, always going above and beyond to support those around her.
On May 25, 2026, tragedy struck when a three-alarm fire tore through an apartment building in Redwood City. The fire hospitalized four people and left nearly two dozen residents, including Janice, without a home. In a matter of hours, Janice lost not only her place to live but also many of her personal belongings, facing an uncertain and challenging road ahead.
Janice will use the funds raised here to secure temporary housing and begin replacing the belongings she lost in the fire. Giving back to Janice after all she has given to our community is critical during this time. Your support—no matter the amount—will help her rebuild and remind her that she is not alone. Please join us in helping Janice recover and move forward from this devastating event.
