My mother, Janet Massaro, is a beautiful and generous woman who does not deserve any of what has happened to her over the past 8 months. She goes out of her way to help people and is a bright light in this dark world.

In August of 2024, Janet went in for a routine hernia repair and came out on death's door. She battled sepsis, pneumonia, a gastric bleed, and a perforated esophagus and is currently still in the ICU battling a hole in her esophagus that doesn't want to heal.

Janet still requires more surgery and rehab. It will be at least a year from the start of all of this until she is home and functioning somewhat normally again.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help her and my father, Jim Perez, with her enormous medical bills and monthly expenses.
