Eulalie Jane was born on October 11th, 2023. She has been facing serious skin issues and food allergies. Despite visits to multiple doctors, including a pediatrician in Santa Fe and now Dr. Young's office in Amarillo, finding effective treatment has been a challenge. The pediatrician in Santa Fe told my sister there was nothing they could do for Eulalie even though she would scratch herself until she bled and only had a VERY small variation of food she could eat. Eulalie's clothing is also limited as she can only wear certain materials that can be pretty pricey.
On April 28th, Eulalie was admitted into BSA after having a fever of 104 for two days. After being in the hospital for 3 days and having extensive testing, Eulalie is set to move to National Jewish Health in Denver for further evaluation and treatment. The doctors are baffled and have called on GI specialists, internal medicine, dermatologists, eczema, and food allergy specialists. They believe that Eulalie has a certain blood disorder as well. Janesa and Eulalie are set to travel to Denver in the coming weeks, where she will stay for a week and Eulalie will have more extensive testing done. After that, there will be many trips back and forth until all is finally discovered and treated. This has been an incredibly tough time for my sister, Janesa, especially as she prepares to welcome her third child in July.
We are reaching out for support, as Janesa's insurance does not cover out-of-state care, leading to significant out-of-pocket expenses for Eulalie's treatment, along with travel and accommodation costs. If you feel moved to contribute, any donation would be greatly appreciated. If you cannot donate, we kindly ask for your prayers during this difficult time. I can tell you that as an aunt, it is extremely difficult to see your little niece be so uncomfortable. As a big sister, it is extremely difficult to see your little sister cry and worry, not knowing what is going to happen. We are extremely grateful to you all and all your help.
