Our Warrior Princess - Support Jancis Emyria’s fight
Don protégé
Hi my name is Jancis Emyria. I was born on February 19th, 2023. That makes me 1 year and 7 months. Since birth, I’ve only ever lived in the hospital. I was diagnosed with a rare case of Biliary Atresia. 6 months later, I was transferred to a higher level care in Chicago. I’ve had to undergo a major procedure called the Kasai procedure that practically cut my entire belly open. My family, families friends and relatives all prayed for my speedy recovery. I thought it would finally be over and I’d be able to go home and be with my family.
Weeks after the procedure, I developed an infection in the cavity of my surgery. The doctors mentioned I’d have to wait a few months before they could perform a laparoscopic procedure on me.
Months passed, and I spent my first holiday’s alone in Chicago due to an unfortunate family circumstance and my mother being diagnosed with cancer. Her chemo and radiation treatment (which she’s currently undergoing) prevented us from being together so I waited patiently till she got better. Ive spent another 8 months waiting alone.
On the last week of July 2024, my doctor called my mom and told her that I’d be ready to be discharged on August 13th. My family was so excited to be picking me up. While in preparation for my departure, on August 11th, 2024, I contracted the hand, foot, and mouth disease which lead me to being isolated for 10 days. My doctor ran several tests and later was diagnosed with bacterial Meningitis
Aloha friends, my name is Bella-Bree, Jancis’s aunt and appointed guardian. I’ve finally taken the moment to write down my nieces journey that seems like a never ending battle. It pains me to know that a poor innocent child is having to suffer so much. I pray that no child has to ever go thru this and endure this much. Even after defeating this infection, theres no guarantee that my niece won’t suffer from the side effects of Meningitis; seizures, hearing loss and/or cerebral palsy. Jancis is also on the list for a liver donor.
We’ve taken a huge hit with an unfortunate circumstance and my pride lead me to thinking we can get thru this alone! Sadly I was mistaken. Now I’m finally pleading for assistance. My niece has fought this battle with reoccurring illnesses that began to slowly break us down mentally and emotionally and eventually burdened us financially. Our goal is to one day have my niece return back to Hawaii in good health and spend forever with her family and relatives longing to love her.
Whether it’s prayers or donation in any amount, it’s a huge help for us. Despite her situation, Jancis manages to always put a smile on her face. We continue to pray for Jancis’s well-being so that one day, our Warrior Princess can finally live a normal and healthy life being surrounded by all her loved ones. She’s a fighter and we continue to fight with her!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and God bless!
