Hello, my name is Chelsea Melton, and I’m asking for help on behalf of my husband, who is currently battling non-small cell lung cancer – adenocarcinoma.

This journey began with a heart failure In January. But after several doctor visits and tests, we received the devastating diagnosis: lung cancer. After having surgery and being told he was cancer free what we thought. It actually speaded to multiple places.Since then, our lives have changed in ways we never imagined.

My husband has always been a hard worker, someone who never hesitated to lend a hand or put in extra hours to support our family. But now, cancer has taken away his ability to work and drained our savings with medical bills, prescriptions, and travel to appointments. He’s undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation and regular scans, and while we remain hopeful, the physical and emotional toll is immense.

We’ve had to make difficult choices—between paying for medications or utilities, between groceries or gas to get to the hospital. I’m doing everything I can to keep things going, working as much as I can but it’s overwhelming. We’re asking for help to cover basic living expenses and medical costs so my husband can focus on healing and enjoying life without the added stress of financial hardship.
