My husband, James, and I have been doing IVF for four years now, trying to have a baby together. (I met James as a single mom of two, and he has never been able to experience the joy of having a newborn) I suffer from uterine adhesions, caused by a complication during my daughter's birth in 2020, which has made achieving pregnancy incredibly difficult for us.
I've had 6 surgeries to remove uterine adhesions, but they keep growing back. We've had multiple failed embryo transfers, and finally got pregnant with a baby boy from our sixth embryo transfer in July 2023. Unfortunately, that pregnancy ended in miscarriage.
We moved forward with a seventh embryo transfer in November 2023, and it worked! We were so excited and made it into the second trimester. When went to an elective ultrasound place, so we could show my mom the baby, unfortunately, we discovered that our baby boy had passed away.
Over the course of four years, I have had 15 different procedures and lost two sons. This journey has been devastating, and I refuse for that to be the end of my story.
We have one remaining embryo, and my doctor has made the formal recommendation for surrogacy, as the risks of me continuing to use my body are far too high.
We are dreaming big and hoping for a miracle here. Any help would be appreciated.
If you're interested in reading our full story or learning more about our fundraising efforts, we've made a surrogacy website. www.zeilengasurrogacyfund.com.
Thank you.
