(Written from an outside source looking in) James does a lot. And I'm not talking about what he does for his family (although that seems to be pretty amazing in itself). I'm talking about his commitment to the community and the mission he follows each day to help people. James was hired by a Milwaukee community program and his primary role is Physical Therapy Aide and Community Fitness Provider. The program is a non-profit that provides services for little cost to absolutely free, and James is the sole provider of fitness to the surrounding community, and recently promoted to an additional role as Physical Therapy Aide. James works for people with mental illness and physical disabilities. His experience varies from client to client, but his roster includes individuals with traumatic brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, and mental illness diagnosis across the board. His purpose is to bring hope and strength to his clients when they normally would not have access to the adaptive fitness services that James provides.
In addition, James has worked through his own injuries resulting in surgeries and long recovery periods. But James never let those circumstances define his ability to help others.
James has recently had a transportation issue, and this funding will directly help James remedy that issue so he may continue to serve his community in the best way he can.
"James is a truly dedicated provider who shows nothing but heart and drive regardless of carrying pain and supporting others without fail. When offering James a promotion that included more hours he responded by asking first and foremost if he could work with his adaptive fitness clients as a volunteer to ensure they were not left behind. This is the heart that James carries, and we appreciate his true dedication to his clients present and future." - Executive Director Ascent Wellness
