Dr. Chelece-Atavia Brown, a licensed clinical social worker and founder of Restored Hope Counseling Center and the Caribbean Mental Health Summit. As a first-generation Jamerican, I’m deeply committed to mental health advocacy and trauma recovery across the Caribbean.
I was born and raised in the U.S. to Jamaican parents with family roots in St. Catherine and Hanover. Jamaica is home, it’s where my purpose is rooted.
Who this fund supports:
This fund helps individuals, families, and mental-health clinicians in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa. Many lost homes, offices, and essential resources while continuing to care for others.
How the funds will be used:
Cover free and emergency therapy sessions for people experiencing distress and trauma.
Support clinicians and community clinics in replacing damaged equipment and restoring services.
️ Fund community healing programs that help rebuild emotional stability and hope.
Every contribution directly supports Jamaica’s mental-health recovery.
We will recover. We will rebuild. We will RESTORE.
