My little brother Jake was in a motorcycle accident on Sunday the 10th.

He was life-flighted from Tega Cay to CMC Main. He went into cardiac arrest during the flight, but they were able to get his heart started again. He has a broken neck, broken vertebrae in his back, almost all of his ribs are broken, as well as his clavicle, scapula, and femur. He has a laceration on his kidney and spleen, as well as a collapsed lung. He’s intubated and has a chest tube to manage all of the fluid buildup. We have been told he will be a paraplegic, and they are offering little hope for movement in his arms. They are uncertain if he will ever be able to eat or breathe without assistance.

This will be an incredibly long, difficult, and costly process for Jacob and us as a family, and any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

We are hoping that with time and effort-intensive therapy, we can provide the best opportunity for Jake to recover to the fullest extent his body will allow.

Please pray for a miracle. I believe it can happen.

We know that God is bigger than science and will continue to hold out hope that the doctors are wrong.
