<div>My little brother Jake was in a motorcycle accident on Sunday the 10th.

<div>He was life-flighted from Tega Cay to CMC Main. He went into cardiac arrest during the flight, but they were able to get his heart started again. He has a broken neck, broken vertebrae in his back, almost all of his ribs are broken, as well as his clavicle, scapula, and femur. He has a laceration on his kidney and spleen, as well as a collapsed lung. He’s intubated and has a chest tube to manage all of the fluid buildup. We have been told he will be a paraplegic, and they are offering little hope for movement in his arms. They are uncertain if he will ever be able to eat or breathe without assistance.
