We are raising monies for our local Romaine family! As many of you know three years ago, their son Jake -then a senior, received the devastating news that he had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia! The past several years have been grueling going through chemotherapy and radiation, many, many hours back and forth to the hospital and doctors appointments and it has taking an emotional toll on Jake and his family! Four months ago, Jake received the fantastic news that he was cancer free! Jake got to RING THE BELL!! Jake began his new life up in Pinetop/ShowLow, Arizona and became a Wild Land Firefighter for the town! Jake was living an amazing new, cancer free life, when his world stopped on a dime on July 22, when he received the devastating news that his Leukemia had returned. Jake and with his family by his side, had a month long stay in the hospital to go through yet another round of chemotherapy and radiation to get him back into remission, to get Jake ready for a bone marrow transplant, that is desperately needed and hopefully will occur in mid-October! Fortunately, there are 10 bone marrow matches in the bank and we are so hopeful that Jake will be able to become the recipient, staying in remission, the news he just received a few weeks ago!!

During this time, Deanna had to resign her position to become a full time caregiver to Jake.

We are wanting to support this family to help get them through the next several grueling months and beyond! While there is a fundraiser September 11-14 on behalf of Jake and another worthy receipient....we are asking for your help to go directly to the Romaine family! We know the Romaines' have friends both near and far and are willing and wanting to help such a worthy family! Please only donate what you are able and we truly can't thank you enough!
