Support Jadelyne Smith's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
My name is Madison Anderson, and I appreciate you all taking the time to read about my sister, Jadelyne Smith, and her courageous journey as she faces papillary thyroid carcinoma for the second time. I am reaching out to seek your support during this challenging period for her and her husband, Tyler, as they navigate the difficulties associated with her illness.
In 2022, Jadelyne was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer shortly after giving birth to her second son. A month later, she underwent a complex surgery in which surgeons removed most of the cancerous tissue from her neck, along with her thyroid and two nodules, while also identifying the presence of the BRAF gene. Following the surgery, she underwent radiation treatment, which required her to be quarantined away from her boys and husband for several days, during which time Tyler had to manage both parenting and work responsibilities.
Unfortunately, a recent biopsy has indicated that the cancer has returned, revealing a cancerous nodule where her thyroid once was. Which will necessitate a second invasive surgery. Doctors also discovered a spot on her lung and parotid gland, which they will be looking further into. This diagnosis has been a significant emotional and physical challenge for our family, compounded by the financial burdens of medical expenses and bills related to their home.
To alleviate some of the financial strain and allow Jadelyne to concentrate on her health and recovery without the added stress of medical costs and living expenses during her time off, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign. Your contributions will directly support her medical expenses, including the upcoming surgery, hospital stays, medications, radiation/radioactive and other treatments she may require.
Thank you for considering supporting my sister in her fight against papillary thyroid carcinoma. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
