Support Jacob's Recovery After Assault

On Sunday, June 1st at 2:00 am, Jacob Meeks was assaulted in Scottsdale, AZ inside of a nightclub.

Jacob and his fiancé, Destiny, were in Arizona to celebrate their joint bachelor party with their friends. On the night of Saturday, May 31st, they went out in Scottsdale to finish out the trip. Around 2:00 am, when they were leaving, a guy came up to Jacob and started trying to get physical with him. The unknown assailant then started calling him homophobic and racial slurs. After Jacob told him that he didn’t want to fight, the guy hit Jacob in the face before running off.

The police were immediately called and a report was filed, but as of now, they still haven’t caught the person responsible.

The assault has resulted in multiple orbital fractures and a nose bridge fracture. Jacob and Destiny had to move their flights back so that Jacob could receive medical care before going home. Between the medical expenses, missed work, travel fees, and other expenses that have come from this; this terrible act of violence has created a massive financial burden on them all while trying to plan and pay for their wedding that is just around the corner.
