Support Jacob's Healing Journey and Family

My name is Tammy Davis, I started this gofundme on behalf of Jacob Henry, his fiancé Megan Roe and their family.

On Wednesday September 18th, Jacob was involved in a car accident at the intersection of hwy 120 and French Camp. The other vehicle pulled out in front of him and Jacob had no time to react. He was taken by ambulance to Manteca Doctors hospital where it was found he had broken his back in 2 places. He has a fracture in his T-1 and a burst compound break in his L-4. His T-1 will heal, but when his L-4 burst it sent a bone fragment towards his spinal cord which collapsed his spinal canal. Miraculously Jacob still has feeling in his legs and extremities but will need surgery. He will be having a laminectomy on Monday the 23rd where they will remove the top level of his spine to allow pressure to be relived from his spinal cord and nerves. The surgeon will also attempt to gently and carefully push the bone fragment out of the canal. It is the surgeons hopes that this will give him the best chance of healing without further damages or surgeries.

Jacob also broke his foot in the accident. As of now it is stabilized in a boot, but he has follow up appt in the upcoming weeks for possible surgery as well.

As many know Jacob and Megan have a newborn baby at home along with their two other boys. Due to the accident Jacob will be out of work for at least 4 months if not longer. Megan is also out of work on maternity leave with no date of returning now as she will need to be out to care for Jacob.
