Dear friends and family,

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved Jacobo, who left us far too soon at just 8 years old. Jacobo passed on September 25, just a month before his 9th birthday.

Jacobo brought so much joy and love into our lives, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

As we come together to remember and celebrate his beautiful life, we are faced with unexpected funeral expenses. If you are able and would like to contribute, any support would mean the world to us during this difficult time.

Hi, this is my 8 year old brother Jacobo. He has been in and out of the hospital sick since May. In June he was was diagnosed with Leukemia at Shands Hospital.  Our mother, Rebeca, is a single mother who has had to leave her job in order to stay with Jacobo at the hospital during his first round of chemotherapy. Jacobo will need chemotherapy treatments for the next 2 - 3 years depending on his response to treatment.

We are creating this Gofundme account for financial help to alleviate the expenses that are piling on. The donations we receive will go towards purchasing equipment Jacobo will need once released from the hospital such as, a wheelchair, a walker and a medical grade bed along with transportation to and from his appointments to Shands hospital which is an hour each way from his home. As the sole caretaker of Jacobo, mom will need assistance with rent and household bills / necessities. This has been hard on our entire family but we have come together to support our little brother and we greatly appreciate any and all help!! We trust and have faith that Jacobo will beat cancer and we will soon celebrate his recovery!
