Thank you for opening and considering supporting Jackson in his endeavor to leave his high school a better place. As many that know our family know, Jackson has grown up with Scouting and Baseball. The first picture is Jackson last fall receiving his Life Rank; the second is one of him on the mound.
As he is about to start his Senior year at Page High School, he is working to complete his Eagle Project.
Jackson is wanting to complete a new bullpen for pitchers and catchers to warm up. The placement will be outside the field of play and will be safer than the current bullpen which is just off the foul line in left field. His plans include a concrete pad with turf for the catching area, and a raised mound area edged in lumber. The two mounds will be covered with a tarp when not in use. This will make the area much easier to maintain (making the Athletic Director VERY happy). He also wants to include a bench for players painted in Page Pirate colors with a plaque recognizing his supporters.
Would you consider a donation to support Jackson completing his Eagle Project and making his high school a better place and safer for future players and coaches?
The first workday will be Saturday 8/16. Workplan is to construct the catching area. Jackson estimates it will cost about $370 for concrete to construct the pad at 'homeplate' for the catchers. He has rented an electric mixer (~$70) for the day. Plus the cost of wood for the form for the pad. Jackson plans to get most tools and equipment donated/borrowed. His next workday will focus on the mound and the materials needed to build that up.
