Support Jack's Eagle Scout Project-Food Pantry Donation Cart

Hello,

My name is Jack Goodfellow, I am working towards my Eagle Scout Rank for Troop 702 of

Reading, Massachusetts. For my Eagle project, I am designing and building a mobile donation cart that

will be placed in the Good Samaritan Masonic Lodge Function Hall to help service the needs of the Reading Food Pantry. Upon completion of the donation cart, I will run a food drive at the Masonic Lodge to benefit the Reading Food Pantry.

The busy Good Samaritan Masonic Lodge Function Hall is used multiple times a week by their members as well as frequent community rentals. Currently donations are not collected in an organized way, instead multiple bags are left about the entry way of the function hall. This donation cart will increase visibility of the donation area, display a weekly list of ‘most needed items’ by the Food Pantry, provide ease of organizing all donations, and offer a storage solution until the items are ready to be brought to the Reading Food Pantry. The Masonic Lodge also hopes to use the cart to increase frequency of food pantry donations by pairing food collection opportunities with community rentals of the function hall.

I, and all those in need, would greatly appreciate any and all donations. 100% of any surplus donations once the cart is completed will go to the Reading Food Pantry as part of the subsequent food drive.
