My name is Jace, and I'm running this fundraiser on behalf of my mom, Mollie, to try and get us both into safe housing.

I'm a disabled trans man living in Colorado. I am no longer welcome in the house I've been in for the past decade, and eviction is unfortunately very likely and has already been threatened. I have no income, cannot work, cannot drive, and I depend on Colorado's laws and Medicaid program to stay safe and healthy. I really don't want to have to leave this state or the care team I've established. I have a cat and a dog I need to be able to take with me, they're my emotional support animals and I need them to stay in my life.

My mother is a recent divorcee currently living in Arizona. Her ex-husband, my former step father, was emotionally and financially abusive, restricting her freedom and manipulating her into doing what he wanted at every turn. He sabotaged her car, broke her things, and isolated her for years before she was finally able to divorce him. She got her break away from him after a domestic violence incident, involving a gun, where he was arrested. His sentencing is on the 14th on January, and the house they shared will be sold after that, whereupon she will have nowhere to go. She has been left with very little money and a desperate need to live somewhere else. She has two dogs of her own that will be coming along.

My mom can arguably go back to work, but she really shouldn't at her age and with her own struggles. Ideally we'll both be going on SSI, but because of my current situation, I'm unable to apply immediately and won't actually get approved for who knows how long even when I can. What we're asking for is enough money to find somewhere to live in Colorado that can fit us both as well as our four animals, along with enough funds to keep us afloat until we have more money to work with. All money will be going to my mom since I currently don't have a bank account anyway.

Anything at all is appreciated and may even be life-changing, even if we don't hit our goal. We both just want a chance to finally live our lives with all the freedom and autonomy we've both been denied for years. Thank you for reading!
