Dear Friends,
Founded in 2009 by Christopher and Kay Dunn, the Ivy Park Caregivers Fund (formerly Sunrise of Oakland Hills) continues to be an annual way to honor the non-management staff for their excellent care of our family members throughout the year. We are immensely grateful to the hard-working team at Ivy Park and hope you will consider donating this year. We both have a deep connection to this community: Silver’s husband, Frank, has been a part of the resident community since 2019, and Kristie’s mother also found her home here.
The Ivy Park Caregivers Fund remains independent of Ivy Park and is administered by us as family members (we rely on management only for documenting staff hours and passing this letter on to families).
This GoFundMe page has been set up as a reliable and efficient way for us to collect donations. GoFundMe accepts donations by debit or credit card and will allow you to donate anonymously or with a note to caregivers. We will share the notes (but not donation amounts) with the caregiving team. If you prefer to donate by check, please reach out to Kristie via the "Contact" button on this page (GoFundMe will not allow us to publish Kristie's email here, but the Ivy Park front desk staff will have her contact information).
All donations, minus a 2.9% GoFundMe fee, go to the caregiving staff. The funds we collect are divided among staff members based upon the number of hours each staff member worked during the year. In the past, some families have asked for guidelines for giving. Contributions have historically ranged from $25 to $2,500 – we welcome and value any amount! To ensure that we can distribute your gifts to the caregivers during the holiday season, please contribute by December 15, 2025.
We are deeply grateful for your support of the Ivy Park Caregivers Fund. Have a wonderful holiday season!
Warmly,
Silver White & Kristie Chamorro
