Support Isa's Mom: A Home for the Holidays

Hello loved ones!

My name is Isa, and I'm fundraising for my mom's permanent shelter. My mother is a disabled single mom with two service pups in training and no income. She is unable to work a traditional job. She has multiple traumatic brain injuries and other diagnoses that prevent her from working. I'm her son in my early 20s and am working on becoming a dental professional to afford my own and my mother's housing expenses.

My mom will be losing her housing as soon as January and could become homeless with her dogs as her landlord would like to sell his property. As a result, I'm fundraising to offset the cost of a trailer RV so my mother can have a roof over her head in the hot Texas climate where she lives. We've been quoted by a local RV company that a new, small RV would cost $14k-18k, not including insurance costs among other fees. I'm hoping to raise as much of this cost as possible to create a low monthly downpayment, or ideally to avoid one altogether given my mother's lack of income. Currently, my mom is supported by myself and another family member, and I myself am disabled with a deformed spine and live in poverty, though I can work.

I live across the country where I cannot help my mother directly, so fundraising is the only way for me to tangibly care for her aside from daily texts and phone calls I do to make sure she's ok. I haven't been able to see her in-person in about 6 years now because she hasn't had stable housing and has been homeless countless times due to systemic ableism and carceral and domestic abuse.

My mom wants to stay where she is to care for my youngest sibling who is a minor. I would like to help her raise the money she needs to have a "snail shell" which she can take wherever she goes, ensuring she has shelter even if she has to move. This will also help her avoid the entrapment and financial abuse she's experienced while surviving domestic violence.
