Support Isabella's Eagle Scout Project
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Isabella FC. I am a Life Scout in Troop 1218 out of Frisco, TX. I am working towards my Eagle Scout rank and as a part of that process, I am doing a service project to help my community. My project is to construct bat houses for the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (BPRC), in Lucas, TX.
Bats are very beneficial for the environment. Unfortunately, within the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center area, 5 of the 9 identified species of bats are endangered. Mainly due to habitat loss. I have always had a great love for animals. So, helping to ensure their safety is very important to me.
My Eagle project will be to build and mount 4 bat houses at BPRC. These boxes will be 3 chambered roosts, mounted to 16’ wooden posts. They will be mounted back to back and placed in 2 locations on the Center’s grounds. I am in need of funding to make this project a success. Donations will help cover the costs of necessary supplies, equipment, and materials. All excess funds will be donated to Blackland Prairie Raptor Center. You can find out more about BPRC at bpraptorcenter.org.
Any donations are greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for your support!
