Support Isabella Lee's Eagle Scout Project

Hi Everyone,

My name is Isabella, but many of you know me as Bella! I’m a Life Scout in Troop 141 in San Gabriel Valley. I attended Brightwood Elementary in Monterey Park and am currently a senior at Ramona Convent in Alhambra. As I work toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout, I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to give back to my city through my final project—one that brings together community engagement, accessibility, and a deep appreciation for our first responders!

For my Eagle Project, I will be revitalizing the garden area in front of Monterey Park Fire Department Station 61 to honor the firefighters who responded to the 2023 Monterey Park shooting. The space will feature low-maintenance California succulents, creating a place of reflection for everyone while allowing residents of all ages to contribute.

Beyond creating a peaceful space for reflection, my project also addresses a critical need—improving emergency communication. I will be developing sets of translation cards for Monterey Park’s fire stations, featuring key emergency phrases and visuals in Chinese. These cards will help firefighters communicate with non-English-speaking residents, improving accessibility and preparedness during emergencies.

Why I Need Your Support

This project honors gratitude, inclusivity, and safety, but I need help covering the costs of materials, including:
