As many of you have been following Isaac Elliott’s medical journey. Many have asked how you can support Isaac and his family.

We have been updated by his cardiology team that he will undergo his second open heart surgery within the next month. Since December 2023, Isaac has been hospitalized and his journey has become more complex than expected. His initial open heart surgery, was successful and, led him to come home healthy, however, he soon battled to overcome three viruses back to back requiring prolonged hospitalization.

Isaac faced respiratory challenges that required re-intubation and now needing a trach until his body can get bigger and stronger to breathe on his own again. His medical team has been closely monitoring his condition, and although progress is being made, the road ahead remains uncertain.

Throughout this time, the Elliott family have been managing going back and forth between the hospital and accommodations, as well as additional expenses for gas, meals and daily needs.

The family is preparing for life at home with Isaac as he will require 24/7 care with having a trach and needing a home nurse and additional medical equipment and necessities to best apply to his needs. In preparation for Isaac’s upcoming heart surgery and home care needs there are costs that the medical insurance does not cover.
