Hello everyone.
My name is Iryna Itskovska. I lived most of my life in Kyiv, Ukraine, until my family immigrated to the United States in 2007. February 24th, 2022 marked the beginning of the Russian attack on Ukraine, and nothing has been the same since that day. Like millions of other Ukrainians away from home, I have felt a full spectrum of emotions – fear, anger, shame, hope, sadness, and helplessness. While my feelings have been everchanging, my desire to help has remained constant.
For that reason, I have decided to travel to the Polish/Ukrainian border to join a group of volunteers and help those trying to escape war atrocities.
We will be leaving on Monday, April 25th and assisting there for three weeks. This mission is self-organized and self-sponsored.
Your donations will cover travel and living expenses and buy needed supplies.
