We are a group of women from the Scottish Highlands and we are about to take on an incredible challenge and we need your help to make it possible.

What started as a relaxed local dance class in Grantown-on-Spey, in the Cairngorms National Park, has grown into something far bigger. Led by our instructor, James Montgomery, our Irun Bru Crew brings together women aged 35 to 70 from all walks of life - many of us had never even danced before!

We joined the class for fun and fitness, but quickly discovered a shared love for challenge, teamwork and pushing ourselves beyond what we thought we could do. Through weekly rehearsals and growing friendship, we have transformed from complete beginners into a determined and united team.

Next month, we will travel to Blackpool to compete at the IDTA Nationwide Street Dance Finals, representing Scotland and showcasing Highland talent on a national stage.

Unfortunately, travel, accommodation, and competition costs are a big challenge, especially after our funding bid was unsuccessful. That’s why we are asking for your support. Every contribution, big or small, will help us make this opportunity a reality.
