Support Iris's Family in Their Move to Mexico

Donation protected
Hello everybody,

My name is Iris. I am the mother of two young women. I am from a small town in Veracruz Mexico. In the year 2005, when my girls were little, I was struggling to pay the bills and provide for them. Not even three jobs where enough to support my daughters. It was then that I made the decision to move to Chicago. It was a difficult journey to leave behind my family and my home, but it was the best I could do for my girls. Two years later, in 2007, I decided my daughters needed to experience the life change I experienced when I moved to Chicago. I arranged for them to be brought from our home town to Chicago with me.

We build a life in Chicago. My girls went to school and grew up right in front of my eyes. After many years in Chicago I thought this would always be our home. A place full of memories and lessons. All of that changed when Donald Trump got elected to be president and then re-elected.

Trump's presidency has made me realized that while we've had a good life in Chicago, we have not planned for the future and, in fact, live in a very unstable situation. As Trump has fully unleashed his hatred and the hatred of his administration against immigrants, the fear of being deported or harmed by his administration keeps growing.

With a heavy hart, we have decided to start from zero again. We are leaving our home in Chicago. This time We are moving to Puebla Mexico where we would like to purchase a home. We would like to secure the future a little more and have something that belongs to us. It was a hard realization that nothing that we owned in Chicago really belonged to us, not the homes where we lived, not the streets we walked, not even the jobs we worked. For that reason we want to find a place where we belong and where we can have a home that is ours.

I am asking for Donations to make a our move to Mexico as quick and safe as possible. Fear is ever growing; In the mornings I say goodbye to my daughters always with the fear that I may not see them in the evening because of ICE. We don't want to live like that. I ask that you donate a couple dollars, anything that is possible so we can leave as soon as possible.

Thank you for your time and donations.
Iris.
