Help Irene and Brad save their home
Donation protected
Irene and Brad are two of the most generous human beings I’ve ever met. They are raising two kids in low-paying, service-oriented work that should be highly valued in our society. Owning a home has been a stretch, but they prioritize it and make it work. It gives them a solid foundation that allows them to continue to show up for their family, friends, and community.
Their roof was severely damaged in the most recent storm (remember that tornado warning that lit up our phones the other week?) They wiped out their savings on their last home repair and had to fall behind on their mortgage payments. They’re now at risk of losing their house, credit, and family stability.
Now, it’s our turn to be generous with them. Irene and Brad need our support to help keep them on their feet. The funds raised here will be used to repair their roof before the first snow and take care of the backpay on their mortgage. The full cost of the roof repair is $10,000. Please consider donating what you can to help Irene, Brad, and their two kids weather this storm.
It has taken many conversations to get them to agree to ask for help because they are always more focused on how they can help others. Let’s reassure them that we are stronger as a community when we can give and receive simultaneously.
