Support Iranian Queer Pride at WorldPride 2025
Donation protected
World Pride comes to DC next month, and we need your support to make history.
We are a women-led collective of LGBTQIA+ Iranians working to create a pride float that will represent the global Iranian queer community in the parade. Our vision is taking shape, but we need your help to bring it fully to life.
Pride Is a Protest
With the help of local art studio Kucheh, we've designed a float that stands as a bold testament to queer Iranian resilience in the face of oppression. We aim to ignite freedom of expression and identity for all, with special focus on those most silenced. This creation honors the revolutionary spirit of the Stonewall Riots—it exists as a form of protest– and I hope we can count on your support as we protest together at World Pride in DC!
Supporting Trans and Gender Non-Conforming Voices
In today's political climate, visible support for marginalized trans and gender non-conforming people isn't just important—it's essential. Our float proudly celebrates queer Iranian culture while embracing fierce love for our trans and gender non-conforming family. By amplifying these voices, we create the balance of togetherness and respect for individual freedoms where everyone can truly flourish.
Will You Stand With Us?
Your contribution, of any amount, will directly help fund:
- Materials and construction of our float
- Registration fees and insurance
- Transportation costs (truck rental, insurance, gas)
- Giveaways to people at the parade (limited number of World Pride 2025 fans with our design)
- Shirts for 50 parade marchers
Any funds collected above the World Pride DC float costs will be donated to an LGBTQIA+ organization.
This is more than a parade float—it's a statement that Iranian queer identities matter and deserve to be seen. Will you help us bring this vision to life?

FAQs
About Our Campaign:
Q: Who is organizing this float project?
A: Our float is being created by a women-led collective of LGBTQIA+ Iranians and allies based in the DC area. We're a grassroots group dedicated to increasing visibility for queer Iranian voices globally.
Q: Why is this float important?
A: This float represents a major visibility project for Iranian LGBTQIA+ individuals at World Pride. A: Any funds raised beyond the immediate World Pride 2025 float needs will be donated to a LGBTQIA+ organization.
Q: Is there a minimum donation?
A: Azizam– the sky's the limit! We welcome contributions of any size. Every dollar helps bring this important project to life.
Q: Can I donate anonymously?
A: Yes, GoFundMe allows anonymous donations. We respect that some supporters, particularly those with connections to Iran, may need to protect their identities.
Participation & Follow-Up:
Q: How can I get involved beyond donating?

A: Yes! We'll share regular updates, including:
- Progress photos of the float construction
- Information about the parade route and timing

Q: Can I share this fundraiser with others?
A: Please do! Sharing our campaign on social media, through email, or by word of mouth helps us reach more potential supporters. Every share increases our visibility.
