Ink-a-Dink Children's Bookstore Proudly Sponsors Set Books Free Project
Ink-a-Dink Children's Bookstore proudly supports the Set Books Free Project! SBFP is a program that enables indie booksellers and their customers to help get books into the communities and organizations where books are being requested yet banned.
We are currently supporting a MIDDLE SCHOOL IN ARKANSAS.
TODAY, Saturday, 10/19/24, is the Freedom to Read National Day of Action, and Ink-a-Dink will match all donations made TODAY. (The fund will remain open until fulfilled.)
In helping raise awareness of this issue, Ink-a-Dink Bookstore has partnered with the ABA, the American Library Association (ALA), We Need Diverse Books (WNDB), #FreedomToRead, and over 50 independent bookstores to provide schools with requested books Which are currently being banned.
Customers interested in this issue and/or who want to support the ABA, please purchase a copy of The ABA Right to Read Handbook: Fighting Book Bans and Why It Matters (all profits support ABFE’s efforts against book bans), available now at Ink-a-Dink and our Ink-a-Dink Bookshop storefront (benefitting indie bookstores).
Ink-a-dink proudly partners with ABA and WNDB by reading #BannedBooks and helping others do the same. #setbooksfree” #FreedomToRead on Instagram and Facebook (@UniteAgainstBookBans)
By supporting our store, you help Ink-a-Dink in our mission to provide more free books and resources for children, educators and librarians.
