Men's Sober Living Home Destroyed By Fire

On the night of 04/06/2025 The Hermann House for Men was gutted by fire. Two men were taken to the hospital for burns, and one of them remains on a ventilator for burns to his lungs that he sustained while trying to rescue the cats that shared their home. He was able to rescue four but the last two could not be found and perished in the blaze.

These men will need everything from toothbrushes to clothing and housewares. They all work in our community and contribute every day to making our city a better place.

Insurance will cover most of the reconstruction of the home, but will not cover the day-to-day life necessities and medical costs for the two injured men. I would also like to cover funds for the Pet Cemetary cremation for the two that were lost, and then possible Veterinary Care for the four that are missing. We have traps set and hope to reunite them with the men as soon as possible. As we know, these creatures will help to heal them faster than anything!
