I can start with telling you a little about myself. I have been one of those people that tries to look after others. As an older brother I looked out for my kid sister and still have a close relationship with her.
One of my first jobs was working as a life guard at a city pool in my teens. Towards the end of high school I joined the Army reserves. A tour in 2007 and experiences around the world I went back to college to become a Paramedic. After nearly a decade working the road as a Primary Care Paramedic in one of the busiest services in the country - I have PTSD. Story comes to a full stop, Drobo stopped.
I couldn't help anyone else and I couldn't help myself. An angel saved me and her name was Daisee.
Daisee was my first Service Dog. She kept me alive when I didnt' have it in me to feed myself. She taught me to trust just a little at a time, and that I could safely make it outside. Daisee and I ran as a team for 6 years before she passed.
So now we come to today - I need a new service dog and they don't just assemble them at build a bear.
My new puppy is coming as a puppy and needs 2 intense years of basic and advanced training. 2 years that my new puppy and I will be working hard will cost us $25000 in training alone. I'm up for the work but I can't cover the cost on my own.
From one helper to another thank you for your support.
