“Heat for Hope” is a youth-led foundation created to bring comfort and dignity to immigrant families affected by ICE. All funds raised will go directly to Immigrant Action Alliance, a Miami-based nonprofit that supports people in ICE detention centers and their families. They provide phone time, books, food, clothing, and post-release help like travel and basic essentials, making sure no one is left isolated or without support. Through “Heat for Hope” we aim to bring warmth where there is struggle and stand with immigrant families when they need it most.
Immigrant Action Alliance
IMMIGRANT ACTION ALLIANCE IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT OPERATES THE FIRST IMMIGRATION DETENTION VISITATION PROGRAM IN FLORIDA AT THE KROME SERVICE PROCESSING CENTER IN MIAMI. SINCE FEBRUARY 2014, VOLUNTEERS FROM FRIENDS OF MIAMI-DADE DETAINEES (FOMDD)HAVE MADE OVER 2,000 VISITS AND RECEIVED THOUSANDS OF CALLS THROUGH A HOTLINE SYSTEM TO PROVIDE A FREE CONNECTION TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD FOR PEOPLE IN IMMIGRATION DETENTION AT THE KROME SERVICE PROCESSING CENTER.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most. If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful.
