As Ramadan approaches, Al-Maktoum Mosque is preparing to welcome students, families, travellers, and anyone facing financial hardship to share a warm, nourishing Iftar. For many in our community, this daily meal is more than food on a plate — it is a moment of belonging, dignity, and spiritual ease.
Our goal this year is to secure enough funds in advance to provide consistent Iftar throughout Ramadan 2026. With your help, we can ensure that no one has to break their fast alone or worry about affording a meal at Maghrib.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reminded us that “Whoever gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will have a reward like theirs, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 1746).
It is a simple act with immeasurable weight: offering a meal becomes an act of mercy, generosity, shared devotion, and a great reward from ALLAH.
Your contribution — no matter the size — directly supports:
• Students far from home
• Families managing rising living costs
• Travellers and newcomers settling into the city
• Individuals experiencing financial difficulty
Every donated pound helps prepare food at the Mosque where people can gather, break their fast, and feel supported by their community.
