Don’t Let One More Person Go to Bed Hungry! Let’s End Hunger in Idaho, Once and For All!

Nearly 500,000 Idahoans are affected by hunger every day. Despite our past successes, our essential programs are now facing critical funding shortfalls. The Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force, a recognized leader in the fight against hunger, urgently needs your support to continue this vital work.

To raise awareness of the critical needs of Idahoans, we are launching our fundraising campaign, "If We Could Only Imagine."

Today, 493,113 Idahoans live below 185% of the federal poverty level. Among them, 58,188 children live in poverty. Additionally, 1 in 9 residents live in food-insecure homes, and 62,688 households are food insecure. Our tribal neighbors face food insecurity at rates as high as 25%, and our senior population faces food insecurity at 5.4%, affecting over 22,000 people.

The first six months of 2024 have been incredibly busy for us. We’ve focused on innovative strategies to end hunger in Idaho, including expanding summer feeding programs for children, addressing hunger in rural communities, supporting our Idaho Tribal neighbors, and engaging more groups in the fight against hunger in our state.
