Ibrahim is a 59-year-old grandfather from Gaza who has lost nearly everything in the war. When the genocide began, Ibrahim was in Turkey receiving medical care, which is why he survived while more than sixty members of his family, including his wife, seven sons, six grandchildren, and his brother’s family, were killed. Now, Ibrahim is the sole guardian of his two orphaned granddaughters. Melissa, age six, is currently in Qatar receiving urgent medical care after being wounded by shrapnel. Her younger sister, Manal, just one and a half years old, remains trapped in Gaza, cared for by a neighbor and in need of medical evacuation herself.
Despite his own poor health and immense grief, Ibrahim is striving to care for his granddaughters. They urgently need support for daily living expenses and medical bills. Melissa’s treatment in Qatar is ongoing, while her little sister faces daily uncertainty and danger in Gaza.
This fundraiser is a tangible way to help two little girls who have lost everything, even each other. With so few ways to get help into Gaza, your support can make a real difference in their lives right now. Every donation will go directly toward their care, safety, and hope for a better future.
