I’m joining 2 other hygienists on a mission trip to Moneague, Jamaica for 5 days. We will be servicing adults and children with disabilities and some of those who have never had access to any kind of dental treatment at any point in time.

We will be doing this through Mustard Seed which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for the most vulnerable populations in society. Any donations given will be sent directly to Mustard Seed to assist in the care of those they service. The money raised goes towards clothing, shoes, medical supplies, food, diapers, formula, medications, etc., as these people unfortunately have no families caring for them and most were living homeless at one point.

Mustard Seed is asking us to raise $1200 before the trip in October, that money will be sent directly to their organization. Any additional funds will be used to purchase supplies such as Cavi Wipes, PPE, Fluoride Varnish, etc. Anything helps and will be greatly appreciated. If you prefer to donate supplies as opposed to money we intend on leaving residents with hygiene bags including toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, etc. (travel size items are preferred)
