As a devoted Abuolba homeschooling family, Nadera and my father Hussian built a beautiful, deeply intentional homeschooling environment, filled with educational corners and toys to foster wonder, awe, and life skills. An F-16 missile destroyed their homeschooling ambitions, and though they survived, their beloved home, neighbors, schools, parks, shops, hospitals, mosques, and favorite spots were erased. They were violently forced to evacuate to Rafah. Imagine escaping from one city to another, protecting your toddlers with only your bodies, schlepping the few items you could pack while mourning your family home, your most precious photos, and every anticipation for your future. Their community, careers, and ambitions dissipated into rubble.

Before the war, our family had a beautiful and simple life. My father had his own business but he lost everything, our own house and he will not leave us with anything. In the first days of the war, I lost my aunt and her young son when their house in northern Gaza was bombed. A week later, under bombardment and gunfire, we were forced to move from one place to another in search of safety, but there is no safe place in“My family was supposed to evacuate to Egypt, but unfortunately, the Rafah border crossing was closed, and we weren’t able to get through.”we are in danger at every moment as civilian fathers are being aggressively targeted for detainment, torture, and execution. We urgently need to get safe! Due to the ground invasion in Rafah, he has had to evacuate to Mawasi, which is now also under attack. Each new displacement is incredibly costly, requiring transportation, a new tent, water barrel, sleeping mat, and cooking setup.

We also must secure about 6 months of basic living expenses such as rent, electricity, food, and water. Each week I will transfer your donations directly into their family account at Bank of Palestine, so they can cover their basic living expenses in Gaza.

The $50,000 USD will include:

$20000 fee to register my family evacuation with Ya Hala Consulting and Travel Agency

$3,000 temporary evacuation to Mawasi (until border reopens)

$4,800 (800x 6 months) rent and utilities

$4,800 (800 x 6 months) food, water, and household hygiene

$4,000 mattresses, bedding, and home basics

$3,000 in clothing and children's basics

$2,000 public transportation

$5,000 school, uniform, and supplies
