Hello, I’m Kerry-Ann and I’m from Jamaica but currently live and work in the US. We have seen many hurricanes but done as devastating as hurricane Melissa.
Melissa has destroyed lives and livelihoods. I have aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends who are trapped in what used to be their homes in Westmoreland, Jamaica and surrounding parishes.
I’m organizing this GoFundMe to help relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins), neighbors and friends in western Jamaica who have been severely affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Currently, there is no electricity and little to no access to healthcare. There is barely any adequate communications.
Access to food and transportation are also very limited, especially in Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth.
Any donation received will help families find a sense of bearing and start rebuilding their lives and their homes.
Funds will be used to provide much needed emergency items such as food, medicine, first-aid, clothing and basic household items.
Essential items such as generators, flashlights, batteries and charging banks will also be purchased and distributed among families with the most need.
We cannot do this alone, our families are in dire need way beyond anyone’s expectations. Please help or share this link as much as you can.
Thank you and one love.
Thank you.
