My name is Hugo Ward. I am a Boy Scout in Troop 92 at Woodmont Christian Church, and I am working on my Eagle Project.

My project will be to replace the picnic tables in the Mary Catherine Strobel City Park, at the end of Carden Avenue by Whitland Creek. The original tables were constructed as an Eagle Project many years ago. Of the original tables, two are still there but rotting and crumbling; the other 2 or 3 have been lost or removed due to their falling apart. There is also a notice board in the park next to the benches built in 2018 by Markus Pannock, also of Troop 92, for his Eagle Project.

I will build 4 picnic tables that have metal frames and wooden surfaces, and sink tethers into the ground to anchor them when the water gets high. My project is fundraising, building, and then installing the picnic tables. My goal is to have everything built and installed before the end of May.
