Support Hopeful Hearts of Guate: Funding FunJesús

Our names are Dakota Cohen and Sophie von der Goltz. We are both high school juniors starting a fundraiser through our club, Hopeful Hearts of Guatemala, for FunJesús which is a non-profit organization in Guatemala ran by Vladimir and Vanessa de González.

This organization works to provide a home for several orphans in Guatemala, the rights of these children have been violated within their homes and judges have had to make the decision to separate them from their parents. The main objective of the Foundation is to give them a Home where they find family love, education, the right to health, psychological help to overcome the shadows of their past and can achieve their dreams and goals. The foundation also encourages them to be positive leaders who, with their testimony, help change society as professionals and trainers of their own future.

We will be going to Guatemala for the secind time this summer to volunteer at FunJesús. Furthermore this school year we established our club, Hopeful Hearts of Guatemala, at our school where we work to fundraise. The money we raise will go towards the rent fees Vanessa and Vladimir need to house the children and other needs such as food and clothes.
