Chloe’s First Mission’s Trip to Honduras!

Donation protected

Hello family and friends, first off I want to say thank you for even taking time out of your day to read my mission. Please allow me to explain what God is currently working on in my life and how you may be able to be a part of it!

I can easily say that I have ALWAYS been a believer in Christ, but it’s also easy for me to admit I haven’t always been as “into” faith as I aspire to be. Here lately, I feel like God has been weighing pretty heavy on my heart. I haven’t always felt I’m as “worthy” as some may be for God’s blessing, but time and time again, He shows me that is not the case. To make a long story short, I was riding with a friend of mine to a missions trip meeting with no intention of going or anything. I was only with her because we had plans to study shortly afterwards. However, after being there, something told me to commit to going or to try and find a way to go. The thought of being able to do my work as a dental hygienist and help adults and children in need makes me over the moon excited and happy. I’ve been doing a LOT of praying over the past few months, more than I ever have in the past, and I feel like something about this missions trip just worked out the exact way it was supposed to. With that being said, when I heard a fee of $1800 to be able to go, a huge part of me wanted to back out, and then the other half told myself to let God work it out. I sometimes feel as if I’m not doing enough for God to be as blessed as I am. However, I truly feel like this missions trip will open my eyes and heart further to Him.

On March 17-24, 2025, I will go with a team from Perry UMC to the small town of Subirana, located in the mountains of northern Honduras. While there, my team and I will focus on hosting medical and dental clinics with a Honduran doctor and dentist, leading Vacation Bible School for approximately 400 students, delivering blessing bags of basic food and cleaning supplies to families in need, and supporting the local Methodist church’s various ministries. There is a great medical need in Subirana, and I am so excited to be able to help in a small way. I know God has amazing things in store for us, and I cannot wait to be a part of His plan in Honduras!

I am so thankful that God has given me this opportunity to reach out to His people. However, I will need your support in preparing for this trip. I will really need your prayers, for my team, myself, the people of Subirana, and for our travels. You may also support me financially, if you feel led to. The overall cost of my Honduras trip is approximately $1800, which includes airfare, housing, food, and all the ministry and medical supplies needed. I understand if you are unable to make a contribution at this time, but please keep this mission trip in your prayers! Any contribution you make will be tax-deductible. Mission gifts will be used as specified. Unless otherwise directed, excess funds will be applied to Perry UMC’s overall mission trip fund.

Financial Due Dates:
October 17th, 2024: The first $600 is due.
November 4th, 2024: The second $600 is due.
December 1st, 2024: The last $600 is due, so $1800 is due in full.
