Help us expand our gravel parking area for visitors!
Hoosier Landmarks for Learning Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Shelby County, Indiana with the mission to connect Hoosiers to their history. We promote community engagement and education of natural and manmade landmarks. Our programs and activities allow the public to get up close and personal with their historic surroundings.
Our hallmark project is a free library located in an authentic one-room schoolhouse built in 1875. It allows people to enjoy spending time in a historic educational monument and learn about its significance. Also, the free library acts as a community trading post for a wide variety of books, games, toys and educational materials. It creates a “third place” where people can feel connected and supported by their fellow citizens.
Many of you often ask, “How can we support the library?” Alongside ongoing book donations, we are asking for monetary donations to fund our current gravel project. With the purchase of this gravel, we will expand our current parking area creating greater access for our visitors.
This is our first official fundraising campaign. No donation is too small. Our community helped build our free library book by book. Great things are built piece by piece. We thank you for your generosity.
We appreciate you and your support. Thank you!
